I am an adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist specializing in family-based interventions for children and adolescents struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Trichotillomania, Perfectionism, school refusal and other anxiety-related disorders.
I use a family-centered, cognitive-based approach which can include exposure with response prevention, habit reversal therapy or other cognitive modalities. I also do family therapy, individual psychotherapy and medication management. I also see children and adolescents with depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders and other major mental illnesses. |

Why decide to enter therapy?

I try to create a safe and inviting atmosphere that helps clarify the goals of treatment and decide how best to achieve them. Therapy can be a rewarding experience where patients come to understand themselves and their patterns in new ways and gain insights into their relationships, flaws and strengths.
Sometimes this is achieved through behavioral therapy, dynamic therapy, medication management
or any combination thereof. What’s most important is that patients feels comfortable, safe and
that they are in partnership with me to meet their goals and feel better.
